WILL NOW BE OFFERING SAFE SLEEP TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES & RESOURCES TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INFANT DEATH DUE TO UNSAFE SAFE SLEEP PRACTICES
WITHIN OUR COMMUNITIES.

& Home State Health
to provide safe sleep education
for parents/guardians interested
in learning how to reduce
the risk of sleep related accidents
or infant deaths.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIReMENTS to receive a free crib:

  • **Must reside in: Jackson, Johnson, Platte, Cass or Clay County
    **Participant receives Medicaid
    (or is eligible) 

    **Participant receives WIC/TANF
    (or is eligible 
    **
    Has a child 12 months or younger that parent provides a sleeping environment at least 50% of the week 
    **Pre-natal participants must be at least 7 months pregnant or 60 days from the anticipated delivery date

    **Parents must participate in an hour long safe sleep virtual training hosted by JuneteenthKC
    **Participant must complete a Pre & Post
    Safe Sleep assessment 

The royale gardening club 

JuneteenthKC is excited to partner with Royale Cohesive Network to continue to  provide hands on learning experiences for children & families interested in community healthy lifestyle activities. The Royale Garden will feature customized gardening activities that promote positive social interactions in addition to developing ways to introduce fresh fruits and vegetables to family meal plans.  

 

All participants will receive (FOR FREE): 

*Gardening Supplies

*At-Home Gardening Kits 

*Free Snack/Lunch during group activities

*The ability to take home harvested crops 

*Opportunities  to learn how to develop a product &  sell at local Farmer's Market Events

*Educational Materials/Books

*LIFELONG Gardening Friends
